I visited **needscoffee** ’s house when I was last on vacation. So glad she didn’t introduce me to the doll…When people asked me about my vacation I would have just gone glassy-eyed and said “…scary doll…” ---

My mother (and father) have a guest room I use occasionally when I’d rather play with their cat than sit around the apartment on a weekend they’re away. Always turn the doll to the wall, and cover it with a blanket. Sometimes I forget to undo my improvement when I’m remaking the guest bed, but I suppose they think it’s an odd quirk. Somehow having a lot of their top-shelf liquor missing doesn’t seem like a fun quirk, though. To each their own, I suppose. At least the cat was happy, well-fed – he gets lonely now that they only have one. ---

I used to sleep in the same room with my porcelain doll collection, I have about a dozen, that ended when they really started to creep me out. About a dozen dolls, staring at you as you sleep, I couldn’t turn my back on them. This thread reminds me, I should go through the box they are stored in and get rid of the ones I don’t want as well as the little box of tiny clown dolls. I could end up like Gulliver if I’m not careful with those ones.. ---
