# So I just saw a Kony poster

The fact that stories like this came out made it a lot less urgent than it seemed when watching the video. He is in hiding or dead. His movement has been totally marginalized. The LRA isn’t even a nuisance. The last encounter that Ugandan troops have had with the LRA was about 2 months ago. Crocodiles are a bigger threat. The publicity campaign came about 7 years too late.

Yesterday I saw KONY 2012 chalked on the sidewalk outside a popular coffee joint.

I agree the slogan seems misdirected, perhaps in a hamfisted attempt at irony.

Yep. The jackasses got the [Spoonbridge and Cherry](http://www.twincities.com/localnews/ci_20459938/spoonbridge-and-cherry-vandalized-anit-kony-movement?source=most_viewed) in Minneapolis, too. Good way to lose whatever support they still had in the Twin Cities.

I saw two Kony posters today, one attached to a utility pole by the side of the road, and the other taped to the wall of a shopping plaza, this one was probably done by a printer.
