I make it with butter and milk and also add Tabasco (preferably Chipotle flavoured) and sometimes some kind of spiced or cured meat. ---

The lady there referred to KD as “macaroni and grease,” because apparently the actual milk content is quite low. 😃 ---

This, only not “sometimes.” It’s _really_ good when you toss in a can of Ortega diced chilis, a bunch of sliced sausage, red pepper flakes and top with Sriracha sauce. ---

For my information, what regions call this stuff Kraft “Dinner”? It sounds way too general, and it’s not like Kraft doesn’t make a dozen different kinds of foods meant to be eaten at dinner. Heck, the word doesn’t even appear in the name of the product, IIRC! ---

It’s call Kraft Dinner in Canada, but because of Terence & Phillip, every South Park fan knows it, even in countries where it’s not popular or called something else, or just not available at all. ---

From Wikipedia: The product was originally marketed as Kraft Dinner with the slogan “a meal for four in nine minutes for an everyday price of 19 cents.” It was renamed to Kraft Macaroni & Cheese in the United States and other countries. In several markets it goes by different names; in the United Kingdom it is marketed as Cheesey Pasta, while in Canada it retains its original name with the nickname KD. Depression Era cheap eats! 😃 Oh, and asides from South Park, it was also parodied a few times in “Bob and Margeret,” if anyone remembers that cartoon. I used to love them when I was a kid! ---

You have to put the leftovers in the fridge and eat them cold. That’s when it’s good. Also you have be 10 years old. ---

When it comes down to it, the powdered cheese sauce is good in a nostalgia for childhood sort of way, but the elbow macaroni supplies by Kraft is pretty awful. I’d contemplate going one step further and dumping the dried macaroni in the box and going with better quality pasta. And I agree, it’s better out of the fridge the next day. ---
