It isn’t if the odo will run backward or not, it didn’t. It’s about is it possible for a high school kid to believe it would. I find that totally believable. ---

Getting back to FBDO, the movie never clicked for me. We’re told that everyone likes Ferris, but he’s depicted as such a smarmy manipulator that I never bought into his universal popularity. His adventures bored me – a parade where someone sings Danke Schoen is supposed to be appealing to teens? And then the big shift in tone and pacing in the odometer scene was just too jarring. I did like Charlie Sheen’s appearance. ---

I liked the scene in Star Trek where Kirk tried to roll the odometer back on the Enterprise. ---
