…and as I leave there’s dozens of police cars pulling up. I can see a 147 bus caught behind patrol cars blocking off Michigan Avenue, but there’s a 151 Sheridan bus in front of me. My brain says, “Grab that 151, and let’s get outta here because we’ll never get home otherwise.” But the little kid part of me yells, “I wanna stay. I wanna find out what happens.” My brain argues, “We’ll watch the news tonight. Come on!” As I climb on the 151, the little kid in me is whining, “I wanna stay. Maybe there’s a shooting. We never do anything exciting!” Now I see on the net that a shot was reported on the mall’s 7th floor. My brain is happy to have escaped with a full six pack of Wao Baos, but my little kid part is still a little sulky. ---

You did the right thing. Sometimes onlookers and rubberneckers are in the way of emergency vehicles and cost them precious time. ---

Wao Baos. I’m picturing either a 2 year old, or an extremely hard of hearing adult speaking: “water bottles”. Am I close? ---

Actually, I’m looking at the bag, and it’s spelled Wow Baos. They are steamed buns with sweet or savory fillings. They are yummy. I have four savory buns, and two stuffed with chocolate. ---
