In a fit of misplaced enthusiasm Dartmouth College is awarding me a degree in linguistics this coming Sunday. At this point I’m alternating between thinking “oh dear god, where did the time go?” “Why in God’s name am I going directly to grad school?” and “mmm… women.” In short, it’s business as usual. I know I don’t hang around here so much anymore, but I figured that some of you all might like an update for old times sake. Cheers, Andy ---

I’m in H-town until the end of July, whereupon I intend to pack up all of my worldly posessions and get myself to grad school. It should be vastly entertaining, or at least be a hell of a road trip. I have to admit that I’ve been breaking into fits of giggling over the thought of being done here. After a weeklong bender where I finished an epic paper of the history of the phonemic principle… yeah, it’s nice to have a two month reprieve from academia. ---

**andygirl** , I am very proud of you. I know you had obstacles to overcome and issues to confront during your college years. While confronting and dealing with those issues, you still managed to do what it took to get your education and remain true to your own YOU.
