# So I'm thinking of spending an obscene amount of money...

I personally find those large projection tv’s are ok - at night, in a dark room, sitting directly in front.  
But by day, or when sitting off to an angle, I think the quality ain’t all that great for the money.  
I am truly impressed with the plasma tv under $4000…can’t wait until they are about $1000 (5 years or less!) as the quality is fantastic.
