The story so far…i am a shaver. sick of it. would like to explore the wonderful world of waxing. bought home kit. it was shit. waxers…what brand do you use (for the genital area)? Or should i get this salon done? I’m talking FULL wax here-not just that side-bikini-area thing. I would like advice, please. Ps. No, I don’t think that word “cunt” is offensive. ---

What I _can_ recommend, however, is to screen any salon you go to very carefully for what method they use for waxing. I’m anxious to see the recommendations here, since my current SO occasionally goes to spas for the Brazilian Full Body Wax, but she won’t wax or shave down there otherwise… just her legs and armpits. (The BFBW is a fun change, but I actually prefer her furry.) ---

Um, isn’t the vagina the inside part, and the mons venus the part under discussion? I don’t think there’s much hair in the vagina proper - but keep going and you’ll find flagellum. Off-topic, I’m (as usual) of two minds of this side issue of the “C” word - truly a “dirty” word when its applied to the entire human being - that not being the case here. Myself, I don’t even use it to describe the body part, but if a woman wants to do so herself, that’s her perogative. On the other hand, maybe it’s inappropriate in a thread title - or at least unnecessary (the innofensive use of offending language degrades its ultimate ability to offend - and what a fucking waste that is!) ---

My GF won’t shave down there because she says she gets painful razor burns and ingrown hairs. And the new growth that comes in after a wax job is much less irritating than the stubble after shaving. And I can testify to that, although I’m not comparing hair in the same areas. So she usually gets a body wax when the weather gets warm, and then once or twice again during the summer. I’ll ask her tonite if she’s ever tried waxing herself or using a sugar gel or anything like that. I know she’s tried depilatories but she said they don’t work well enough. (Maybe she didn’t use it right?) I’ve talked to her about this because the pubic hair on her labia can get long enough to become, err… irritating. But she keeps that under control now that we’ve agreed we both find it irritating. Anyway, I’ll try and find a way to breach the subject of waxing tonite, although she’s beginning to think I’m wierd sharing the details of my personal life here - I don’t think she’s going to be too keen on me sharing the details of her pube-trimming habits. ---

**Guinastasia** is right on the mark. I think it’s sexier (not to mention, easier) to let nature take its course. Of course, I might shave my inner, upper thighs if it tends to travel down (which it DOES try to do) when I am wearing short shorts, or a bathing suit. I don’t want to freak everyone out at the pool. But yeah, if I am going to give my lousy two cents, I merely shave. To hell with a bunch of time-consuming, money-wasting waxing. Plus, it hurts…big time. ---
