Certainly others using Kong as a literary character since have always assumed he was male. Although, you gotta admit, the idea of a female Kong and an interspecies lesbian affair does add a certain bizarre twist to the proceedings. ---

Actually, King Kong was one of several movies about relationships between white women and apes of varying size back in the late 20s and the early 30s. I’m thinking it was a (subconciously) racist way of coming to terms with blacks and whites having sex. Wierd little thing going on there. ---

Yes indeed; in fact, humans are way up there (so to speak) in terms of relative groinal hugeness. Among the _Hominidae_, only the chimpanzee boasts a heftier satchel. Also, the human penis is by far the largest such structure among primates. What the other primates think of this situation is not known; however, I suspect they are grateful that humans provide them with such a large target to aim for.
