So... Is Osama Bin Laden the Antichrist?

rushtopher! LOL
And Mr. McFeely is the False prophet!

I’ve always been pretty sure that Bob Barker is the antichrist for some reason. He seems creepy in an intangible way.

jarbaby

Okay, but we’ve got a Western perspective here. I’d say Osama is beloved by many in the Islamic nations (whether or not those people support terror attacks, OBL is seen as standing up vs. that big bully, USA).

Ok, but seeing as Muslims aren’t Chistian, it would bbe kind of hard for him to be their antichrist, wouldn’t it?

Scriptural stuff on the Antichrist:

From a post by me in a pit thread devoted to Wildest Bill:

I trust this makes clear where I see the potential for Antichrist. And yes, if my guess is right, he did rear his ugly head in September 2001. But not as Osama bin Laden.

Help! Would some Moderate person be so kind as to add the missing quote mark in my attempted link to the Pit thread, and close the italics after “the evil you want to watch out for”

Thanks.

Sincerely,

An Incompetent Coder :o

IIRC, the term “anti” as used does not mean “against” but rather “in the place of”. If this being the case, then Polycarp’s quote (as incompetently coded as it is ;)) reinforces that translation. I would think that someone like Fred Phelps or Jack Chick would be anti-christs. They take Jesus’ message of peace and love and place their message of hate and intolerance in it’s place.

Since the antichrist denies Jesus is the Christ and Son, that makes Israel a nation of antichrists.

Maybe ObL and his ilk are trying to do us a favor by going against those evil antichrists.
