See? That just proves how tastes vary. To me, KC and the Sunshine band is the perfect example of everything that was crappy about disco. Just listening to “Get Down Tonight” or “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty” after all these years makes my fists clench. I prefer to believe that everyone who attended one of their concerts during their recent tour did so out of irony.
On the other hand, “On the Radio” by Donna Summer was a masterpiece.
ETA: And I have to admit that “I Love the Nightlife (Disco Round)” by Alicia Bridges (otherwise known as “I Got to Boogay”) gets my toe tapping. Damn toe.
