Help me out here – I’m still a little confused by the “high concept” concept. Is [this](http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/click/) (the new Adam Sandler movie _Click_) high concept?
If it’s not, I’m back to square one.

I remember back in the 80s, John Betancourt described his latest novel as “Pirates fighting Giant Ants.” That’s about as high concept as you can get.

Gene Roddenberry used two high concept pitches when trying to sell Star Trek to skeptical studio executives: “Horatio Hornblower in space” and “Wagon Train to the stars”.
I suppose “wunza” movies are high concept too. “Wunza claustrophic ninja assassin who goes by the book. The other’s a narcoleptic medical examiner who makes his own rules. Together they fight crime.”
