As defined by Tom deLay, Frist and friends over Terry Schiavo and federal judges? I think not!
Although Tom Delay is not on my list of people I would invite to dinner I have not seen any yelling on his part. Given his current position in the news I would expect to see it. I think you are confusing your dislike with his position on Schiavo with uncivil behavior. I’ve debated the issue with a number of people and it was done without eviscerating any of them.
I’m not trying to cast a shadow on the Democratic party nor pass judgement on the people I mentioned. I’m criticizing their calculated behavior in front of a crowd. In my lifetime there has been an exceptional amount of civility in American politics. I was actually surprised by it when compared it to what I saw in other countries.
History may not record the amount of fist slamming in a speech but you can usually tell how it was delivered by the words. It wasn’t always a polite state if affairs in American politics. Republicans and Democrats alike would fling their crap like drunken monkeys. Maybe it was the unified atmosphere of WWII that kept things civil for so long. I don’t know. I’ve just noticed a growing trend toward unnecessary rudeness.
I would have to say that if I saw someone wearing a T-shirt that said “Hillary, please kill yourself”, I would explain to them, in very specific language, what an asshole they are.
Good grief. The same company that sells the Tom Delay suicide T-shirt is now selling kill Bush T-shirts. How would they feel if they saw someone wearing a “kill Cafepress employees”? How would they feel if someone shot the President while wearing their T-shirt? There’s nothing politically insightful about this hate-speech.
Your link goes to a bunch of pro-Bush paraphernalia. “Bush Is My Homeboy”? I think my brain just vomited all over my skull.
Do you understand that Cafe Press is a DIY merchandising outfit, where literally anyone can submit an image for their own personal t-shirt, coffee mug or mouse pad store, and that CP has nothing to do with who has submitted them?
If someone believed the protestors were endangering innocent lives and that there was no peaceable way for them to prevent these lives from being endangered, then yes, I would expect them to disrupt the protestors with rude uncivil behavior. In fact, that’s usually not called a riot: that’s usually called riot police. Their premise, however, is wrong: the protestors are protesting bombs, which kill people, and which are different from protestors in that respect.
Different means are acceptable to use for different ends. Again, only hardcore pacifists are in a position to dispute this without hypocrisy.
Buh? Paying attention much over the last few years, when Democrats have routinely been called traitors for not sufficiently buckling under to the Administration’s demands?
I advise you to follow your own cafepress link again: it’s a great demonstration of WHY we shouldn’t be too worried about the Democratic nutjobs. Go ahead: click on your link!

Does that mean MoveOn.org didn’t really compare Bush to Hitler?
I don’t recall any of the demonstrators on Terri’s behalf hurling food at Pro-Death activists.
Until about a dozen posters get banned and then their inevitable sock puppets get discovered and shut down?
Just guessing.

Indeed–they just took out contracts on Michael Schiavo’s life.

That is sad - but I don’t think it reflects the vast majority of the pro-life demonstrators.
How about the folks selling the T-Shirts advocating that DeLay commit suicide?
That’s nice, ain’t it?
Yes it does. That was a submission to a contest. IIRC, they removed it when found.
BTW, I find someone shouting a lot less dangerous than a high ranking Congressman seeking to undermine the very basis of our government.
True (although “sad” is a fairly mild word for taking out a hit on someone).
That is sad - but I don’t think it reflects the vast majority of Democrats.

Can you make a single post that doesn’t involve inflammatory dishonest manipulative language?
And your point is?
I missed that one, which Republican politician called a Democrat a traitor?
And the 2nd link I posted has been replaced by an apology. The first link has been replaced by another T-shirt asking Delay to drop dead. At least Cafepress is making an attempt at weeding them out (a bit slow, but an attempt). I’m not worried about the Demo nut jobs as much as I’m worried about the Jerry Springer atmosphere that drives it.
That attributing these sentiments to Cafe Press is erroneous, especially considering they seem to have removed the offending items in rather short order.
As well, we know nothing about the people that did submit the items.
Well, yes and no. Cafepress is responsible for their website so it depends how timely they are at monitoring it. I’ll concede your point, (but slowly). As I pointed out earlier, there are more popping up. Going to be a bandwidth headache for them since Drudge is now riding their ass. But I guess it’s OK since Drudge is gay (according to a Cafepress T-shirt).
I’m pretty sure Drudge is gay according to Drudge.
I don’t trust the mental health of the person who’s opinion you are citing, elucidator.
