Kurt Vonnegut has [passed away](http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/04/12/arts/web-0412obit.php). I was a huge fan of his work in high school, and have read most of his books. Last year, I read _Man Without a Country_, and found him as insightful as ever. It’s hard to imagine the world without him. ---

There aren’t many modern writers who have moved me, made me laugh, and infuriated me as much as Vonnegut. He was an original of whom it might be said that before they made him, they broke the mould. ---

Kurt Vonnegut was awesome. I saw him speak at Cornell and he exceeded my expectations, as did his fiction. He will be sorely missed. ☹ ---

Well Crap!, This just ruined my day. Welcome to the Monkey House is still so appropriate today. The legistrating of morallity always fails and is always being foisted upon people. Just look at the current hub bub over stem cell research, and attacks on Roe v. Wade, and banning gau marrage. etc, etc, etc,… His voice will be sorely missed. ---
