I just bought my 151st AMC… the next costs 5.854 quintillion!

I am now in my seventh incarnation (reset 6 times). I cheated a bit in the second incarnation, but not since.

Yeah, you want to reset. You’ll be surprised how quickly things move along.

I got to 100 of everything eventually by just letting it run 24/7, I think it “only” took a week or two. Since then I have re-set 4 or 5 times, I think, and have just got to 135/135 upgrades (you need to reset a few times to get the 2,000 heavenly chips required for the last upgrade). I’ll probably re-set once more just for the fun of how quickly you can build it up again, but I think I’m pretty much done now.

Let those wrigglers run for awhile or overnight and they really pack on the cookies when you pop them. If you happen to get a couple click frenzies too, they REALLY pile up.

I made about 1.5 quad on my last one. 🙂

can someone summarize the Grandmapocalypse for me? why would you want to take it off and how do you remove it permanently? I have all of the 7 cookies that the wrinklers trigger but if they give you 110% of the cookies you eat when you pop them why would you not want to keep them. I have the temporary truce thing does that count toward the appeasement achievement?

</div>

The Grandmapocalypse does two things: It replaces your Golden Cookies with Red Cookies, and it causes wrinklers to spawn. Wrinklers are, as you note, a good thing, but on the other hand, golden cookies are on average better than red ones (mostly because with all the upgrades, you usually get a Lucky while a Frenzy is still active). The net effect is that it’s better to leave the Grandmapocalypse running when you’re going to be away from the computer for a while, like overnight, but to appease them while you’re sitting in front of the computer and able to grab the golden cookies. It’s never a good idea to buy the permanent appeasement, except once ever just to get the achievement (do this right before you’d be about to reset anyway, so you don’t have to pay again to revoke it).

</div>

Cool thing I just discovered (and coincidentally, appropriate in response to the last post). **Chronos** is right about the relative advantages of golden cookies while your present vs. wrinklers while you’re away. Plus, the game is a lot more fun when you’re clicking cookies. HOWEVER, you can have both!

-click an elder pledge
-save export (let the game continue to run)
-wait for wrinklers to return in the running game window (or if you don’t want to wait, you can click “elder covenant” and then revoke it).
-when you have 10 wrinklers reload the saved game.

The wrinklers remain munching away, but you’re still on an elder pledge so the cookies are golden. You can’t keep it going after the elder pledge expires unfortunately.

Gonna make you jealous. If I leave them overnight, I get about 20 quad for each wrinkler.

Actually, I wanted to reinforce what has been said in this thread for anyone struggling to get their 100th AC for their first session. If it gets boring or frustrating, time to reset. It becomes much much easier each time you get more heavenly chips.

I currently have 4350. It takes me about 20 minutes to get 100 of everything from Portal down. I think then maybe another hour to 100 time machines, and another hour or 2 for the 100 AC.

Gonna try to hold out till 5000 chips before my next reset, but at this point resetting is the most fun part of the game.

</div>

Interesting glitch, but I suspect it’s not worthwhile. If I’m understanding you correctly, you’re throwing away one Pledge-duration (plus however long it takes the wrinklers to show up) of production, in order to get one Pledge-duration of both effects running. So it’d be worthwhile if wrinkled golden cookies were worth at least twice as much as unwrinkled ones. But most of the benefit of golden cookies comes from Lucky, and I don’t think that wrinklers pay back for Luckies (in fact, they would decrease their value).

</div>

Actually I was thinking more about the “frenzy” benefit since that does effect the wrinkler output. And you can get at least 3 or 4 frenzies for one pledge duration which yields far more than 2x the wrinkler return unpledged.

And no need to sacrifice a whole pledge. Just a covenant and then a reversal for instant wrinkler access.

</div>

You gain the frenzies, but lose the elder frenzies and most of the clicking frenzies (which although rare, are also _huge_ jackpots). It’s not enough.

And you’d have to have pretty insane production to start with for buying and instantly revoking the covenant to be worthwhile.

</div>

Well I’ll concede that hitting an elder frenzy would tip the scales significantly, even factoring in the clots and ruins, BUT, about revoking the covenant - remember, you’re going to be loading a saved game from before this point. That, and anything else you do after you export has no bearing on anything. The only thing you want is wrinklers on the screen.

Made it to 135/135 achievements the other day, woo hoo! But I’m puzzled, the last one was for baking a trillion cookies per second. I’ve seen lots of references to 2000 heavenly chips, but AFAICT there is no achievement for that (though you need a lot of heavenly chips to get to a trillion cps).

As for the grandmacalypse debate, the best thing to do is to ‘awaken’ your grandmothers, but not ‘anger’ them. Get One Mind to get the wrinklers munching, but leave the last 1 or two grandma upgrades on the table. That way you can still get golden cookies AND get the bonus for the wrinklers. 7x production with 10 wrinklers is a beautiful thing 🙂

It’s not an achievement, it’s an upgrade – it allows you to buy the Grease’s Cups (a 25% production multiplier).

As for my brag… 🙂
1.6 trillion CpS
5,654 Heavenly Chips
17.4 quadrillion all-time chips
It takes about an hour to go from reset to 240 cursors/100 everything else/all upgrades

I am utterly confused. As far as I can tell, you call up the game and start clicking on the cookie like a deranged monkey and then … just don’t stop.

Am I missing something? I’ve never been very good at the minutia of really complicated video games, but if I’m lacking in the “not having the attention span to click my mouse repeatedly for hours” skill … then I guess I can live with that.
