The local rag had a list of celebs with brief marriages this morning, kicking off with Britney Spears and her Vegas marriage and annulment, Pam Anderson and two marriages (ten days and six months respectively, IIRC) and someone else - Drew Barrymore, maybe. Glad to know that everyone takes marriage so seriously. ---

Her brother has the biggest ass though… Plenty of curvy Kim look alikes out there, KK is pretty much physically flawless, but she ain’t all that, a little bland beyond the looks and used to being on the pedestal. She’ll get off of it for nobody, she needs to marry an old man. ---

I didn’t think I could hate a public figure as much as I hate KK right now. I never thought I could actually miss hearing about Paris Hilton. It’s like the Kardashians have taken over all the media so we don’t ever hear about the other famous-for-nothing celebrities anymore. You can’t escape them. I try to avoid them but I still know more about them than I want to know. The real reason I hate her though, throwing away millions of dollars just to get even more millions for herself. How many families could she have supported for the price of that ring and her wedding or even half of that? How many charities that help people could she have funded? I’m not saying that rich people have to give everything away to charity but that kind of frivolous spending is like a slap in the face to the people that keep buying her crap. I wish the people would take a stand against these pseudo-celebrities and reality stars. Stop watching their shows, stop buying their products, stop following their tweets/facebooks/webpages. Don’t buy magazines that mention them, turn off talk shows that have them as guests. Ignore them and maybe they will go away. But I know that’s too much to hope for so I just have to wait for the newest obnoxious psuedo-celebrity to come along soon and push them out of the spotlight and give me someone new to hate. ---

I have mixed feelings about the Kardashians. On the one hand, it’s nice to have Armenian celebrities since I’m part Armenian (and it’s the cool part). On the other hand, it’d be nicer if they weren’t all such train wrecks. I think I’ll go read some Saroyan and listen to Khachaturian. ---
