I am giggling and squeeing at all these wonderful pictures. Emma’s soooo pretty! **Wash** has made a couple of lolcat captions from Sasha pictures. The only one I could find was [this one](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g127/Washburne/roflbot.jpg). That is Clark, the friendliest black lab-based mutt you will ever meet. He is not technically my pet, as he belongs to my parents, but I’m babysitting him right now. I tried for about ten minutes today to get a decent picture of him in motion, but he’s pretty much got two modes: full speed or dead stop. ---

I got [this great photo\* of Phyllis (left) & Dottie (right)](http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLanding.action?c=8svb2qja.b1f70c8q&x=0&y=kyly9i&localeid=en_US) on our front deck a few days ago. My mom is actually standing to the right, calling to them, but they’re fixated on me. Profit! (If only it were much higher res, I’d submit it to the 365 Dogs a Year calendar contest. Phyllis actually made the 365 Puppies calendar several years ago.) Usually taking their picture is an exercise in futility, as they’re either looking at the person who’s holding them still, or dancing around the photographer’s feet (usually me). Or they have to be asleep, as in the other photo in this album. 🙂 * * * \*Obviously it’s the second photo in the slideshow (of 2 photos). I still haven’t got the hang of linking to photos at KodakGallery. ---

Here is [Ms Bernestine](http://picasaweb.google.com/MsTakeMN/Pictures#5244805924868974674), back when she had meat on her old bones. Thanks to thyroid problems and age it’s become a job keeping her up over 6 pounds. I adopted her when she was 6 weeks old, just a little ball of fluff. At the humane society my mom commented on how ugly Bernie was - this pitiful kitty with HUGE ears and funky markings. She was mine. She’ll be 19 in May (had to figure it out - I remember everything about when we adopted her, but not the year. If she’s not 18 already, then she’s 19 going on 20) And here is her not-so-faithful sidekick [Ms Cleopatra](http://picasaweb.google.com/MsTakeMN/Pictures#5244805935875925042). Cleo joined the house a month before TheKid was born. She did not take kindly to being the second cat and since then has had an on/off relationship with Bernie, and, well, all of us. She is _not_ a talker, rather she chirps. But give her a pony tail holder and she’s off and romping with scratchy meows! thrown in. She’s 16 now, and finally becoming more of a snuggler. You would think after being together over 15 years they’d get along. Not so much. The only time they will be near each other is when sleeping on “The Blanket” or eating. The rest of the day is filled with the very sociable Bernie meowing, getting into trouble, helping me work by walking across the keyboard, curling up on my lap and Cleo looking at her with disdain.
