Mine just told me that I have more Neanderthal variants than 93% of customers, so I got that going for me.

Well, as expected my results find me to be a boring northern European white guy. 58% British Irish, 24% French German, 14% Iberian. And I find it quite logical that these people would be fucking Neanderthals.

They told her she had none of my dad’s DNA, and matched perfectly to our Mother’s DNA, etc. (Yep, there had to be someone’s else DNA involved, you know.)
She asked if I knew what had happened. I told her, “You have had three children. You know how that happens, right? Okay, if the test results are accurate, then there’s some stuff we don’t know.”
She ruminated on that for a little while. Then she found out the truth.
This falls in the realm of “unintended consequences”, I’d think.
On a somewhat related topic, DNA tests have been ordered on several thousand of the “lost children” being detained by ICE. As they go about the business of re-uniting them with their parents, I’m sure a few surprises are going to come to light.
