Robin gets the sample of Batman’s blood, so they can eventually find the tainted blood and get rid of it, but odds are it has already been used in a few people.
I’m hoping that Harley’s positive pregnancy test plays some part in the next game.
And did I miss something, or was there no reason whatsoever for Joker to not have injected himself with the cure after Harley stole it? It was in Harley’s possession, then Clayface’s possession, but Joker was around the whole time. I can’t figure out why he didn’t take the cure earlier in the game.
Harley did steal the cure from Freeze but Talia stole the cure from her. That’s why you can find Harley tied up at the steelworks.
Did anyone see the Clayface twist coming? I suspected * something*, but not that.
I did not even know Clayface existed.
Well, I guess I kinda did, since they hinted at it in Arkham Asylum. I was wondering just who was in that cell, who kept changing appearance to look like other familiar characters. As far as I remember, they never actually spelled it out, and Clayface isn’t exactly well known. Surely not well known enough for casual not-really-into-comics gamers like me to recognize or suspect.
Huh - I thought Joker tied up Harley, just because he’s Joker.
But didn’t Clayface have the cure at the theater? Or am I misremembering?
The reward for scanning the changing character in the cell in AA and solving that riddle was a Clayface biography, which made it obvious that he was in the cell.
I did get quite puzzled by the cutscene where Joker is doing his make-up, his face is all gross in the mirror and then he suddenly turns around and bam, nothing wrong. I had no idea what the hell had just happened and didn’t think to investigate the mirror after that scene. After a while I forgot about it entirely.
I checked it out further in my new game+. Turns out it’s not a mirror, it’s a window. The bastards were cheeky enough to do the Duck Soup bit right in front of Batman.
And yes muldoon, Clayface had the cure in the theater, because he’d just taken it from Talia’s corpse. Up until she offered Batman the cure after “killing” Joker, neither Joker nor Clayface had any idea it was her who had it - Joker thought *Batman *was the one who’d intercepted Harley (which is why he takes Talia hostage in the first place: to force Batman to bring him the cure. He says as much. Even though he’s shown himself to Batman already “cured”, which is another “huh, whut ?” clue to Clayface’s role).
So why doesn’t Clayface just throw it to the real Joker or something ? Well, there is a rodent infestation problem in the room. If anyone can yank something in mid-air, it’s the ninja with the 3 million gadgets. Which is why Clayface swallows it to keep it safe.
Thanks for the explanation Kobal2. I completely missed that. Now I’m cursing the total inability to save the game right before interesting points so you can replay them.
And now having watched it on youtube, I can’t believe I missed it. Talia explains it all and everything. I’ll blame it on my kids distracting me at the crucial moment.
Ya know… I’ve played through twice and while I love what they’ve done with a lot of it, I can’t help but feel that they’ve missed the lightning in a bottle that was Asylum. A tight, wonderfully paced narrative, villains who had a real impact on the game and a tangible sense that the story was progressing rather than gliding about for hours and then maybe fighting a set piece battle or two…
And what’s shit is that the next game, if there is a next game, will have to be a-bigger-more-open-sandbox-extravaganza. Fuck, save all the expanded Riddler puzzles and just give me Scarecrow levels again.
