There is no real reason for me to care about this, but I just started wondering whether avatars became allowed on the dope during my absence. Going through the control panel a few moments ago, I heard an option to show avatars, which I don’t remember being there from when I had working eyes. But I’m not absolutely certain it wasn’t there before. So did the policy change? It would be a nice instance of God continuing to mock me. She’s never forgiven me for all that graffiti I sprayed on the Vatican walls back when I was 15. ---

Avatars are still disabled. “Display avatars” has always been in the Options, but there are no avatars to display. ---

We can have avatars on our profiles. I have a picture of an owl on mine. The SDMB doesn’t show those avatars along with out posts. ---
