# So Paula Deen has Type 2 diabetes.

My dad’s from Albany (well, his family all lives there now - his passport has his birthplace as Mitchell County) and I’m having a bitch of a time figuring out where to register for this wedding, since they don’t have, you know, anything in Albany and half of my guest list is coming from there. If you’ve seen _All My Babies_, the great midwifery documentary, the last bit that’s sort of staged that happens on Hardup Road? My aunt lives on Hardup Road, for real. I mean, that’s the name of it.

I believe I’ve heard Paula is actually from _Tifton_, which is to Albany as Buttfuck, Nebraska is to New York City.
