Eyes, hair, shoulders, whether his clothes fit. Dark hair and light eyes, please. Spectacles optional.

In the case of my husband, though, the first thing I noticed was the large inflatable parrot he had on his shoulder…

Seriously, though, I find it really hard to relate to this “what women want” genre of The Internet. I have received enough messages from society that I am not a “typical woman” over the course of my life, to really ponder this. All I can see is that a “typical woman” is heavily de-valued by society, though, so I never really bothered to be offended.

Thighs. Thighs. Thighs. First time I met my husband, he was wearing shorts–and I mean they were short. As soon as I saw him I said, “Yup, those thighs are gonna be MINE.” 25 years later, they still are, and goddamn, I still love 'em.
