You are absolutely correct. The same thought occurred to me today when I read that Bolton doesn’t have the balls to run. LeMay served in the U.S. military; Bolton is just another one of the Dubya-era War Wimps.
My comparison was based on the one thing LeMay is remembered for, by the few of us who remember him for anything…the “Bomb 'em back to the Stone Age” quote.

I, for one, question the judgement of an adult male in 2015 who goes out in public looking like that.
You see a man walking down the street wearing that mustache? You know there’s a man’s not afraid of nothing.
He forever ruined his chances of being President when he willingly associated himself with the UN.
It was my understanding that he went there with the intention of working toward its disbanding.
The man deserves some praise. I believe he chose not to run because he’s not delusional like most of the other right wing candidates. Ok, he IS delusional about some things, but not about how God wants him to run, or that he would stand even a miniscule chance of getting the nomination. My best guess is that he came to a rational decision – he didn’t run because he had no chance to win and he would be wasting his time.
Good for him.
