I wonder just where did he “cruise along the coast”?, there is no highway that “cruises” along the coast, you can go to different touristic cities in the coast but the road is just “pampa” all along, no view of the sea that I know of, until you get to the city in question. The view is somewhat like this: grass…, cow, grass…, cow, cow, sheep, grass, grass, grass, gas station, grass… grass… grass… cow, horse… ---

According to [CNN](http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/06/24/south.carolina.governor/index.html), “Sanford told The State the legislative session was difficult for him, particularly losing the fight over whether he should accept $700 million in federal stimulus money he wanted lawmakers to spend on debt instead of urgent budget needs.” He up and disappears because losing a political battle was too hard on him? CNN also refers to Sanford as a “possible 2012 contender.” I’m guessing his rivals won’t forget this little episode when the campaign rolls around. “Would you have to disappear if negotiations with the North Koreans broke down? Well, would you!?” ---

Notice how he didn’t apologize to his wife. Everyone else, but all he said about her was that she’s been behind him all along for the last 20+ years. :rolleyes: He’s toast, in politics. He ought to just resign now, though I’m not certain the Lt. Gov. is much better as someone to run the state. \ ---
