Is there a camera in the uterus? An invitro-rape room surveillance? Because if not, he is not utilizing this installation to its full capitalistic potential. Serious money to be made from a live streaming video of this willing rape. A prophylactic rape as visualized and perversely enjoyed and punished by the jaded, seeing, collective, voyeuristic eye of society. ---

I think this is just pretentiousness. The artist isn’t actually saying anything about rape. He’s just using rape as the subject for a work of art. And because rape is a serious subject his art about rape is somehow supposed to be serious even though it’s saying nothing. This is like all the filmmakers who make movies about the holocaust. Because the holocaust was a serious event viewers are supposed to treat movies about is as serious movies. ---

Oops, I think you misunderstood my comment, and I misunderstood yours **pbbth** … you took me a bit too literally. I was referring to the rape room as a “womb”, I was wondering if he was going to have a camera in the rape room, not an actual in vitro camera. I mean what is the whole rape tunnel and rape room if not one giant, symbolic, vagina and uterus? ---

Really it’s very feminist and symbolic if you think about it, generaly the sperm get in there and gangrape the egg. In this case, the egg rapes the sperm, and who’s to say that isn’t the way it really is, at the moment of conception? Zygotic Rape. ---
