# So the word 'tranny' is hate speech?

Get real!

This message board has essential devolved into a hospice for terminally outdated ideology.

It is blatantly obvious that the moderation actions taken against me by Tomndeb and Jonathan Chance are motivated by their inability to deal with the discomfort that they experience when confronted with persistent advocacy for opposing points of view.

“Tranny” is in no way hate speech. It is simply a shortened version of transvestite. It is an obviously neutral term, there is no negative connotation whatsoever, except to those who find transvestites themselves to be distasteful.

It is hilarious to me that this thread is now one of the top Google search results for my name: [Hank Beecher’s warnings and suspension are bullshit](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=791091)

If you only knew how much of a laughing stock you are to the many people that are watching this regressive, fascist bullshit occur…
