. . . and strangely, I’m going to miss Minot, ND. Tomorrow morning I’ll pack up my computer for my move, and will be incommunicado for a week or two. But I had a moment tonight. A strangely calm moment. . . Come Thursday morning, I shall render myself homeless for a few days, with all my worldly possessions tucked neatly into a U-Haul trailer, while I make my way to Great Falls. As much as I bashed this town, I’ve got a lot of memories here. A _lot_ of friends–good friends. A lot of good times, and a lot of stupid times that Cecil, the Grand Master himself would have commissioned Slug to draw a picture of. Either way, I wouldn’t change a thing. Not now, not ever. I took a moment tonight to stand on our new deck, and watch the sky just after the sun set about a half an hour ago. The river was like a looking glass. The hot, humid wind was still and gentle. The echoes of friends come and gone rang through my ears. I thought to myself, “ **Trip** , it was like this when you graduated high school, and it was like this when you graduated college and left both of those towns. Why does it feel different now?” I don’t know why. It just does. 😉 Tripler Good night, Minot. I’m sure I’ll be back in the future. ---

Hey you should have told me earlier, or maybe I should have noticed sooner. I will be coming by your way the same day you will be moving. If you happen to see some crazy guy on a red touring motorcycle from Maryland that’ll be me. I’ve got a Leprechaun on my CD antenna. If I happen across a Uhaul along I-94/90 I’ll slow up a bit.
