You should know I can’t stop publishing if I tried. No matter what else I’m doing I’m coming up with ways to bring stories to press.
To that end two friends and I launched Broken Icon Comics a few months ago and today our first issue came off the press. Now we have to get it into shops and see if it sells.
I’ve been published all over the place. The Washington Post. The Wall Street Journal. And others.
But nothing. NOTHING. Gave me the rush just now as seeing my name on a four-color comic book as one of the writers.

I’m interested in the premise and the art looks all right, though it’s impossible to tell what the artist’s story-telling skills are like with no preview and the cast line-up is posted at an irritatingly small size. Is this available through Diamond? Any plans to sell via the site, or are you planning to go through local shops only?

Understandably, I think, it’s a small run. We’ll likely be distributing through Haven as they’re a little more easy-going in how they treat new ventures. So maybe it’ll appear at your local comic shop. Or you can PM me and we’ll work something out.
It’s a start. It’s a start. Two more titles are in production right now as well as two webcomics and some other stuff.

Looks interesting. I’ll ask my comic book purveyor to order me a copy.
Out of curiousity, did you have any legal issues over using Peter Pan as a character? I’m assuming you’re going with it being fair use for the purpose of parody. But I know Bill Willingham originally planned on using Peter Pan in _Fables_ and was advised not to for legal reasons.

Haven just agreed to pick Panned, and our other titles, to distribute! How’s that for awesome?
As for using Pan I had a lawyer do some checking and it’s in public domain here in the USA but not in the Commonwealth. So we should be OK. Fables has an international fan base and that’s why Willingham avoided it.
It’s good to know they think it’s worth taking a crack at getting into shops.
