“Hello again” to all the oldbies who remember me.
“Nice to meet you” to all the newbies I haven’t hasseled in the now-defunct Welcome Wagons.
So I’ve been gone for a bit, not sure how long, feels like a few months though. I popped in every now and then, but haven’t really been around, not even lurking much.
As some of you may remember, I was laid off _waaaayyy_ back in April - the Monday after the ChiDope in fact. The good news is, I’ve finally got myself a new job, troubleshooting for SBC’s DSL stuff. The bad news is, the job came too late, as I’ve already had to move out of my apartment cuz I couldn’t afford the rent and am now unfortunately staying with my sister and BIL and neice (2 years old) and nephew (10 months).
Yeah, yeah, woe to me, boo-hoo, etc. Not a big deal, as now that I’m working again I should be out of here in no time.
I just thought I’d hop in and give an update. I hate my BIL’s computer, so I’m still not online as often as I used to be, but I should be around a little more often than before. I just wanted to check in and say hi and I’m not dead yet.
Thanks to those who sent e-mails. Some of you seemed worried that I was out of touch for so long, but don’t worry, my depression wasn’t kicking my ass, I simply had to canceled my internet provider while unemployed to save all the money I could, and then there was the move and everything. Sorry for not replying to all the e-mails, but anyone who’s known me for any time can verify that I’ve always sucked at that.
So that’s all, please feel free to introduce yourself if I don’t know you, I’d like to get re-acquainted with the people here. For the oldbies, please update me on anything interesting I’ve missed, either with links or via e-mail (addy available below).
And a special wink for **islandgirl** who seemed to be the only one to put me on her hottie list. (Yes, I did a vanity search when I got back, I have no shame.)

The Welcome Wagon isn’t still going is it? I know **hardygrrl** did a version of it, and I popped in a couple times on the first page, but then I slipped away into a Hunter S. Thompson-like binge and suddenly found myself sober and naked in Istanbul dancing in the streets for Baby Ruth candy bars as my only means of sustenance. I got back to the USA by stowing away away on a ship which turned out to be full of pirates. The pirates found me and were about to kill me when luckily Tinkerbell showed up…
Oh hang on… I think I may have imagined everything in the above paragraph after the words “Hunter S. Thompson-like binge…”

**Crunchy** , yay! I’m probably one of those newbs you don’t know, but then no one knows me. I know you, though, and I’m glad you’re back.
Hmm, update… GQ gets a lot of repeated questions, GD has a lot of political and religious debates, and the Pit is full of petty but humorous complaints.
I’m sure that helped a bunch.
Real updates, hmm… Cecil has been totally absent, Scylla apparently got nailgunned in the head or got nitrogen narcosis, and the (moderat/administr)ators have been acting a bit off. Other than that, it’s been boards as usual, if there is a usual.

Coldie came out and admitted that he/she was actually a 50 year old woman from San Francisco. She lives with her cat and chills every day to the SDMB and Coltrane.
