**Emerson, Lake & Palmer** - _Brain Salad Surgery_ - “Benny the Bouncer” Cute song, buried in a sea of awesomeness. **Dream Theater** - _Metropolis II: Scenes from a Memory_ - “The Spirit Carries On”/“Through Her Eyes” (tie) I hate the slow, drippy songs. **Rush** - _Signals_ - “Chemistry” Mostly by default. **Genesis** - _The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway_ - “Silent Sorrow in Empty Boats” Dull instrumental padding. **Jethro Tull** - _Thick as a Brick_ - umm…there’s only one song. 😉 **Yes** - _Revolver_ - “To Be Over” **Black Sabbath** - _Sabotage_ (controversial choice) - “The Thrill of it All” **Iron Maiden** - _Powerslave_ - “The Duelists” (by default) ---

My bands were Stereolab Best Album: _Emperor Tomato Ketchup_ Worst Song: _Monster Sacre_ (although it may just be that it is the only slow number on the album which is absolutely fantastic) Pavement Best Album: _Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain_ (in my book, I know that most people would say _S&E_ is better but I like _CR, CR_) Worst Song:\* Hit The Plane Down\* (really, they need to get rid of everything where Spiral Stairs had any singing) Beatles Best Album: _Revolver_ Worst Song:\* Love You To\* (and I play the sitar – I totally agree with everyone else about this song. George gets 2 songs max per album.) Beck Best Album: _Odelay_ Worst Song: _Minus_ Bjork Best Album: _Homogenic_ Worst Song: \*Pluto \*(which may be my least favorite song by her) Rolling Stones Best Album: _Beggar’s Banquet_ Worst Song: Hmmm…I like every song on this album but if I were to pick one, I’d go with _Stray Cat Blues_. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Best Album: _Live Seeds_ (I could also go with _Henry’s Dream_ or _Murder Ballads_) Worst Song: I dunno, maybe _Plain Gold Ring_ Radiohead Best Album: _The Bends_ (to be different, I actually like _OK Computer_ just as much) Worst Song: _High & Dry_ (spoiled by too much bad karaoke) Sigur Ros Best Album: _Ágætis Byrjun_ Worst Song: It all kind of flows together, but maybe _Vi›rar vel til loftárása_ goes about a minute or three too long. The Wedding Present Best Album: _Seamonsters_ Worst Song: _Blonde_ ---

I would also add that the first band that typifies this with me is Led Zeppelin’s _Houses of the Holy_ which has the abysmal _The Crunge_ which I’ve deleted out of my iTunes library in the 1:10000 chance that it will come up on random. ---

The Clash, _London Calling_ - “Lover’s Rock” Not only is this the worst song on the greatest album ever, it’s the first song The Clash ever released that was less than excellent. Not bad for halfway through your third album. ---
