cruising down the freeway the other night, the wife and i saw an unfamiliar vehicle… from behind we thought it was a 3 wheeled motorcycle, but the driver wasnt wearing a helmet, as we approached wee noticed it wasnt a bike at all… this driver was sitting on a metal frame, straddling a transmission in what appeared to be a a custom frame carrying a car engine. is this just some bizarre custom vehicle or is there a name for this sort of thing? ---

Was it actually a 3-wheel vehicle, and if so, did it have 2 front wheels or 2 rear wheels? ---

it actually had 3 wheels, 2 in the back 1 up front, michigan tags if that helps you custom car guys out there. ---

It was built sort of like a land plane, with a front and back seat and apparently three wheels. Some of them still exist, my Dad mentioned it because he saw one driving down the road recently. ---

My friend God of Citroens has driven a Messerschmidt. He says it was terrifying; the steering is so quick that the slightest twitch sents you swerving across the road. It felt like a really bad go-kart.
