Your cats can decorate? Great. I just got a new house and I’m having a terrible time picking colors and accessories. How much do your cats charge?
I have six cats, and I am veterinary technician. So I have interacted with tons of cats. But can I tell you what they are thinking? No way. I like to think that they love me, because they actively seek my attentions even when they aren’t hungry. And they pretty much all seem to like one another.

BAAAAAWWWWWHHHHAAAAWWWWW!! That was funny as hell.
Seriously though, I love reading about cats or any animals as to how they might think (although I know they don’t) or just why they do the things they do. My cat pretty much fits in with the “human can opener” phrase. She’s not a very playful cat, but has those mad turns occasionally where she takes off at break neck spead around the house doing, well what **cougarfang** said.
I love this saying because it’s so true:
You feed a dog, give it shelter, pet it, take it for walks and it thinks your a god.
You feed a cat, give it shelter, pet it, and it thinks **I’TS** a god. Never a truer word said.

Yes, but on a level so much higher than we that it is difficult for us to understand.

I have two just like this. Salem is a true “cat,” meaning she ignores everyone, has that aloof attitude. I swear sometimes she sneers at me. I’m almost certian I’ve seen her roll her eyes at the other cats.

Jack, the other one, thinks he’s a dog. He has a little toy (technically a dog toy), a rag bone, with little knots in the ends that he carries around in his mouth. Every so often he will fling it with his mouth and go bounding after it. He drinks from the potty, he likes belly rubs, he comes running if I whistle.

Cats are just goofy.

**Seawitch** , that’s a marvelous compilation of a cat’s train of “thought.” However, I believe I can add a couple from my own experience:

Claw curtains

IF HumanIsSitting AND HumanIsBusy
[ul]
Jump on lap
DO
Purr
Drool
Knead with claws extended (the further the better)
[/ul]
UNTIL ThrownOffLap
Look highly offended
ENDIF

(Sorry for the computerese, but it flows better that way . . .)

We’re in charge of weather and rations. The cats are in charge of everything else.

Have you ever noticed the resentful look you get if it’s raining outside and you try to let the cat out on the porch?

Yeeesh.

I get that too, there is always food in the dish, but they cats want whatever is on mom’s plate more.Even if it is something they do not like, such as oatmeal.
VanDamm and Tigger have to drink water from the taps, as much as they can stand.
Julia gives me dirty looks, she wants to lie on the windowsill, and it is cold to have the windows open.
And Little Bastard just hangs out in the kitchen.
