In our old place, I have about 60 magnets, all reproductions of old movie posters. I collected them anyway and my wife let me put them on. Now that we’ve moved, I don’t think they would look right. The place has a nice, spartan aesthetic going and we’re generally anti-clutter anyway. Though my wife never said a word, I think she likes the way it looks all bare and I do, too. We do have 2 magnets, though: One is of the Milne illustrated Tigger (not Disney’s) with the caption “No Bouncing before Breakfast”. The other is a director’s chair with the back labelled “Chef”. Oh, and on _top_ of the fridge is the microwave (the only place it would fit with out counter situation) ---

An old Savage/Love column featuring the urban legend about the lesbian who “gives birth” to thousands of mud shrimp larvae after she engages in an elaborate masturbatory ritual involving lesbian XXX porn, a live lobster, and a lighter. An Oscar Wilde magnet. Pictures of my dearly departed dogs. ---

Magnet from some real estate agent that wants to sell my house for me. Dominos Pizza magnet collection of various magnets with single words printed on them so you can make sentences. The words are : My Your girlfriend wife boyfriend sugar chocolate I love hate smile -ing -ed -s smile hit you me above sing and then or not no yes yet laugh dad mom son daughter dog cat the of for. The current sentences are : I hate dad (wait a minute!) and love My chocolate. A monkey magnet/paper holder that hoots when youput something in it. Calender with various appointments from last year scribbled on it. On top: Dust, stale package of wheat thins, and a baseball cap ---

I’ve taken all those little promo magnets from businesses and altered them. I cut out little pictures from magazines and cataloges and glue them onto the magnets -then cut around the image. So I have some weird magnets now. It really is a fun way to reuse all those promo magnets. Plus, people always wonder where I got the Gorden Fish Sticks and the Vagisil magnets. 🙂 I’ve also taken all the little stickers that come with CPU’s and stuck them on magnets. A hobby left over from my tech days. I have almost every Intel CPU sticker, most of the AMD ones, some IBM Blue Thunder stickers and a few other odds and ends. Those are stuck to my computer case though. ---

- Magnets: lizard (from St. Thomas), fish (from Maui), wine bottle and grapes, Milk & Cheese (comic characters), couple South Park magnets, a few with cooking times for vegetables/fish and measuring conversions on them. - Magnetic kitchen timer - Phone numbers for vet, emergency animal vet, ferret boarder - Magnetic tray with pens, paper, some coupons, menus for delivery places - Far Side cartoon with a woman criticizing her dog for using a voodoo doll to harm the obviously hurt mailman, after she’d put the dog on a short leash (my husband’s a mailman) - Article listing expiration dates for various pantry items ---

There’s a bunch of weird magnets on my family’s refrigerator. There’s a puzzle magnet, some magnet that was made from a drawing my brother did, a Powerpuff Girls magnet (that’s mine, actually…nobody else in the house has even touched it yet), a magnet with the high school football schedule from two years ago, and a few magnets for different companies. Some of these magnets are being used to hold assorted papers and a photo of my brother and the dog. At my mom’s house, there’s a brand new fridge. The previous fridge was cluttered with stuff. The only thing that hangs on the new fridge is a simply exquisite piece of paper that contains my summer reading list for AP English next fall. Ooh. jessica ---

This is from memory. Various magnets. Most are a cheesy version of the “word” magnets that we got for free from [headhunter.com](http://headhunter.com) so they’re all words like, “motivation” “Money”. A Hard Rock Cafe magnet/Washington Mutual magnet and a magnet that has measurement conversions… (8 oz = 1 cup, etc.) Being held in place by the magnets… \*a coupon for the driving range (buy one bucket, get the 2nd free 🙂 ) \*My girlfriend’s soccer schedule. (They are 6-1-1 this season!! Including last weeks come from behind 4-3 win. My g/f is the keeper) \*My softball schedule (we’re 3-3 ☹ ) \*An ad for Molly the masseusse. ($55 for 1 1/2 hr.) And thats it… exciting, eh? ---

Fridge poetry. At the moment, it says: “the ugly delirious man was shining purple like a sun” and “flood the diamond sky with pink rain” and “my puppy licks luscious sausages” and a few other things I can’t be bothered mentioning. On top of the fridge are my car keys, and a plate with an apple on it, and my toy flying woolly mammoth, whose name is Orson (he is one of the woolly mammoths from _The Way Things Work_, and he is without a doubt the funkiest soft toy I own. My gorgeous ex brought him back from a trip to San Francisco a few years ago). **OpalCat** , the Frigits look WAY COOL! I might have to invest in a set as a birthday present to myself. ---
