I always thought it was a visual catch phrase some wrestlers use. Wrestlers need to “get over” (slang meaning become popular) with the fans, so they create a combination of attitude and catch phrases to distinguish themself from other wrestlers. Hulk Hogan mentioned his 24" pythons (minds out of the gutter, he was talking about his biceps), his three demandments for Hulkamaniacs, as well as posing for the crowd based on the merit of their cheering, not to mention Hulking Out (being beat up badly, only to bounce back stronger than ever, beating the other wrestler). The crowd loved it when he did this, which got him over with the fans The Rock has several catch phrases (“If you smell what the Rock is cookin’” , “Layeth the smacketh down” ,“Roody-poo candy-ass” just to name a few.) He also has a visual catch phrase of arching his eyebrow. The fans love it, so he does it, thereby “getting over”. ---

I will fairly much agree with Twin. It is something that few people can impersonate. It is hard to raise the one eyebrow like that. It is a trademark Rock gimic. Just like the DX crotch cross or whatever you call it. It has apparently indeared him to the fans. They like his arrogant attitude so much that even when he tells someone “It does not matter what your name is.” they cheer. Even when he is wearing his sunglasses you can see the eyebrow raise. A jabroni is another name for a jobber, or a wrestler who never wins matches and simply exists to put other people over. Basically, what The Rock is saying when he calls someone that is that he’s a loser who can’t possibly compete with him. I am more of a WCW fan myself, but the Rock did wonders for his career by breaking from The Nation of Domination. He was supposed to be a heel (a bad guy) but he got such a huge fan support that he became good. Yes he is arrogant, but I do like his character. Jeffery ---

I am one of the millions and millions of the Rock’s fans…Rocky…Rocky…Rocky. It’s called the People’s Eyebrow, he raises one.
