Silversmithing and blacksmithing. The silversmithing continuously since late last year, the blacksmithing just once. I recommend silversmithing if you want to fidget with tiny stuff and the blacksmithing if you want to stick your bare hands next to very hot metal and coal and hammer stuff really hard. It rocked. They will both cheerfully eat any spare time you have. ---

Produced one hour of a two-hour documentary on composer and pianist Ernst von Dohnanyi. I remastered tapes from as far back as 1953, which have never been heard by the public. It may be coming to a classical NPR affiliate near you, the end of July, or early August. ---

Last month I started a second job as an online reference librarian. I work from home, usually from 8 PM to midnight, and just answer people’s random reference questions via online chat software on our website. I’m learning a lot about every subject imaginable, helping empower people with information, solve mysteries, and fight ignorance, and becoming The Man Who Knows How To Find Things, which I always aspired to be. ---
