Other than on this board, I have never heard or seen in print any of the various “Christ” expressions, like: “Christ in a side-car” “Christ on a pogo stick” “Christ on a crutch” etc. Granted, I don’t live in an area that’s near the cutting edge of anything (other than that one time back in 1861), but where did these expressions start coming from? ---

Where these expressions came from? I have no idea what so ever. I do know that they had to eventually come around though. it started small with things like “shit on a shingle.” later it built up to “humour in a juggular vien.” then it hit the religious side with “hell in a handbag.” naturually, it had to reach the christ side of things. hope that i confused you. * * * What you see is what you get, but you haven’t seen anything yet. ---

There is (was?) a punk band from Seattle called Christ On A Crutch. They rocked, but I’m sure the apelation goes back way farther than they did… * * * Yer pal, Satan
