Jeanann. My mom got creative, combining her middle and her mom’s first names. She’s the only one who calls me that; most people go with Jean. Which is fine with me. ---

All those in the Fantasy Football leagues and the Diplomacy crowd know my first name- heck, you can get it from my email addy. I’m Doug, and I’m surprised that there are no others in this thread… In a like vein, I do not watch King of Queens. I am not a fan of the eponymous Nickelodeon show- I’m too old. Much too old to be called “Dougie.” I am listed on the Page of Dougs. I am the past tense of dig, also snug as a bug in a rug. ---

Mine’s Skip. And like I said in the skipping thread, I don’t. Appropos of nothing… At the naval hospital In Gtmo Bay, we had a Cuban national as our hospital seamstress whose last name, when pronounced properly, sounded out as Anus. swear to God. (It was probably spelled “Enis” or something like that.) I used to fantasize that one day, I would go by her little room and greet her with a Buenas Anus! But she was just too nice, too refined a lady, so I never could summon up the chutzpah. ---
