I read that hearing it in the Madonna version, not the Patti Lupone version. It seemed to make it more real. ---

Normally, I wouldn’t care about a politician failing to live up to their promises, but political promises aren’t usually this easy to live up to. It’s a charity auction, political staffs organize events like this every day, and there’s absolutely no downside to anyone (other than Palin) for making it happen. ---

Zombie Palin thread. _McCaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaains_! So, anybody heard anything new about the missing duds, or should we just assume they were donated to the Palins’ family holiday celebration? Or do we wait a few more months, because the holidays are an awfully busy time and you can’t expect people to go around giving out clothes or making donations and the like at a time like this. There’s egg nog to be drunk and halls to be decked, damnit! ---

A couple of my friends were chased by an amorous swimming moose as they paddled several kilometers down Pickle Lake in Quetico. One of them made the mistake of making a moose call at the wrong time of year. The call attracted the moose. Boy, did it attract the moose. ---
