Luigi Mangione, remember him? The guy charged with murdering a top insurance executive? That was a bit back in the news cycle, and the lawyers are still maneuvering. For that matter, what other outrages have faded from the immediate public consciousness while awaiting the actual verdict of justice? ---

In-person legal arguments in the Charlie Kirk murder case are scheduled for January 16 and 30. The defendant will be permitted to wear regular clothing but must remain shackled. There’s also a fight over press access. Tupac was murdered back in September of 1996. Prosecutors state that Davis was the “shot caller” who orchestrated the murder, but believe that it was either Orlando Anderson or DeAndrae Smith who pulled the trigger. Too late to charge Anderson for it. He died a few years later in an unrelated gang shooting.
