Giraffe’s is the other. I haven’t even registered at either of the other boards yet, despite several specific invitations to go over to domebo. I can be stubborn as hell, sometimes self-destructively so, and I feel like I’m endorsing the destruction of my online home to even register over there. I’m in pain, here, gang – is anyone else as distraught about this as I am? Yes, I’ve been through a couple of major brouhahas here, but I’ve never seen an exodus quite this decisive or numerous. Glad to see I’m not the only person planning to stick around, though … (and may I add that a few of the people who have announced their departures with a manifesto or allegory, I’ve though, “yay, no more of that asshole”?) ---

I’m staying. If the board collapses, and to be honest I doubt it will, I think I will find a new hobby. Maybe not. Maybe I’ll miss posting and go to another board. But I’m doubting that too. Only time will tell, eh? ---

I’ll stay so long as the board is interesting. I’ve registered over at Giraffe’s and post there as well. If the SDMB becomes too ridiculous then I’m gone. ---

I’ve tried to switch in the past - but its never really worked for me. I have time for two (and the other one isn’t like this one at all), and if this collapses or gets too dull to stop by, I’ll get more done with my life. ---

This is home, and while I have registered and posted at one of the other boards, I consider it just an extension of here. I see no reason to leave here. Even though people have explained over and over what the controversy is about, I don’t comprehend it very well because it doesn’t seem to involve anything I do here. It’s like when we change ministers at church, and lots of people move on to other churches. Doesn’t bother me, because I will outlast whatever minister we get. Takes more than that to get me gone! ---

A mod asking us to keep this thread on topic, and pointing us off to another forum if we want to talk about a different topic is a far cry from “say what we want you to say or fuck off.” The mods and the rules are what keep this board good, IMO. I may not like every single rule, but overall, this board’s been going for 10+ years now and it’s still better than anything else out there.
