God I hope they don’t put Catwoman in the next movie. There’ve been too many cheesy performances of that role on film to bring it back right now. One of the things that’s always held Batman back (in fact, the whole DCU in my opinion but I’m not gonna nerd-out too much in this thread . . . ) is the lack of good villains. He’s got The Joker and . . . The Joker and . . . ummmm . . . yeah . . . (Counterpoint: The Scarecrow, who’s always kind of sucked in the comics, worked great on film in Batman Begins.) And for the record, mswas is right about Naomi Watts. Nice to look at but damn near ruined Eastern Promises. ---

Even though Batman brought its namesake and the Joker back to respectability, I think Catwoman’s wounds are too fresh. How about Zooey Deschanel as Harley Quinn (minus the Joker), a darker, reinterpreted Poison Ivy, or even Summer Glau as Talia al Ghul? ---

I think it would be interesting to have Riddler be the next villain. He could be redone as a very smart criminal who sends clues to the newspapers and police in order to gratify his ego. The pacing would be different and it would be more detective-y. ---

Plus, Wanted was filmed well over a year ago, and she has put on weight, considering she just delivered twins. I doubt she will let herself get so thin again, as even she said she knew she was not healthy while she was coping with her mother’s death. I vote for Angelina, hands down. ---
