That or _Cafe_… 🙂 To answer, though… **lurker** and I are planning on it tonight. My fears are more out of who’s producing it (Hated _Voyager_ with a passion!) than out of the promo spots I’ve seen. But, like the rest, I’m willing to give it a shot. Of course, I’m sure I’ll unconciously be waiting for Scott Bakula to Leap out of there at any moment. 😃 ---

I, not being a particularly rabid _Star Trek_ fan, have been anxiously looking forward to this series. I know not why. I do love the original series. I kind of liked _New Generation_. After that they really seemed to be stretching for shit (I thought _Deep Space 9_ was utter tripe). This may be a stretch too, but I get a kick out of the whole “pre-quel” schtick. I’ll probably never see another episode after tonight, but the hype has me in its meathooks. ---

God, I hate to think the lengths they’d have to go to in order to make it worse than _Voyager_. I’m still going to watch it, though. With my fingers crossed. It’s such a damn cool idea–if they fuck it up, I’m never going to watch anything Star Trek again (besides TOS, of course). ---

I’m watching. I’ll have to beat Jr Ranger II away from Cartoon Network to do it, but, hey. It’s Scott Bakula on Star Trek. I really hope he suits the role better than the previews I’ve seen make it look. ---

I’m pretty sure it’s in my cable contract. _shuffles papers_ Yep, there it is: codicil 7EE, right under the one that makes it so that if I watch any programing from a satelite dish they can take my nephew. …and ever since they made me get that implant, they can tell. So, yeah, I guess I will be watching 🙂 ---

UPN/Paramount. Can’t remember the exact time but its definetly prime time. Thats a nice thing about the dish… It’ll probably be starting every hour from about 5PM on different channels. 🙂 ---

Everybody knows I’m watching it, which must be why I’ve had three requests from co-workers to tape it and make copies for them. And in honor of this special occasion, I’ve decided to go all out and prepare a giant bowl of **The Dip**. For those of you who are not familiar with my culinary skills, this is one of about three things that I actually know how to prepare in the kitchen. It’s a Mexican cheese dip for nachos that is simply to die for. I’ve been asked to prepare it for parties, but I’ve refused. For some reason, it only seems appropriate for when you’ve planted your ass on the couch to watch an episode of Star Trek. ---
