# So, who's on the SDMB instead of celebrating and why?

Heck, as a capitalist _and_ a [materialist](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Materialism) ( 😉 ) , purely fabricated and commercialized holidays are just as good as anything else, as long as you can make a good time of it.

Hebrew. I think they’re actually trying to make things as inconvenient for students as possible. It’s mandatory, up to six semesters depending on your proficiency level- guess where I fell out (hint, it’s got “101” in it). There’s only one Elementary Hebrew, and it’s early on Mondays and the (again, mandatory) TA is late Thursdays. Do they have a grudge against studnets who like to go home over the weekend? And, as I said above, all their finals are insanely early on Friday mornings.

Let’s see if I can do this… _ani hayiti ayafa maod, lechain_ probably _lo tov_… oh, heck with it. I probably made a mess of it because I was half-asleep at the time, and if I do get a bad grade I will be sure to point this out to the powers that be. Loudly, and as many times as it takes.

It was obviously advice intended to help you feel better. You admit you don’t want to feel better, since you freely choose to take it all personally. So you get what you get.
