I think there’s a good chance that **kung fu lola** is on the right track here. It sounds to this layman like something out of Oliver Sacks. Gotta wonder if her brain chemistry’s gotten screwed up. Not that I think you have much chance of getting her to go to a doctor voluntarily.

**jsgoddess** , you might ask your husband if she’s always been like this, or whether she’s changed noticeably in recent years.

Apparently, she’s been like this for forty years (which is as far back as jsgod can remember).

So, I don’t think it’s something organic. I’m no psychologist, of course, so I might be saying something incredibly stupid. If so, apologies.
