I’ve done many different kinds of work, customer service included, and all jobs, bar none, have a “dealing with assholes” factor. Customer service just increases a worker’s chances of running in to more assholes than other jobs.
Vent away on job frustrations! It beats the hell out of getting fired or going postal. And if your job sucks that bad, think about, and work on getting another. Easier said than done I know from hard experience, but the peace of mind is worth it!
