# Soccer Q:  How is "Celtic" pronounced?

Gee, lobley, way to validate a stereotype about English football supporters (what the hell has this thread to do with your 1-0?)

As for why “Celtic” as a team name starts with an S sound, nobody knows. It’s a subject that comes up time and time again on Celtic mailing lists and there has never been a definitive answer.
