I agree. Yet being a full human being is playing different roles, including economic ones. I’m not arguing that people be seen as purely economic units. But that when it comes to economic issues they will have to think economically, while also taking into account all other aspects of their humanity.

Quite true. But, isn’t Marxist theory based on the assumption that your economic function is the single most important thing about you?

Not quite. But as I’m not a Marxist, I don’t care to delve into the Marxist theory of species being.
