I forgot to add \*Passiona \* - a very sweet, passionfruit flavoured soft drink. I don’t know whether it’s uniquely Australian or whether it’s available in other countries.

Dandelion and Burdock used to be very popular in the UK, but is becoming harder to obtain, at least here in the south - it is probably best described as the local analogue of rootbeer - looks like cola, but with a softer, smoother fizz and a rich, dark, licorice/aniseed sort of flavour.

Australia’s Bundaberg Ginger beer is my current favourite. I hardly ever drink soft drink but that is yummy.

Is Portello sold anywhere else? It’s roughly raspberry and cola mixed together.

I don’t like many soft drinks but I love Schweppes Bitter Lemon. I’m not sure if it’s available in the US. I think it’s the quinine which makes this one quite different from the usual lemon soft drinks available. I have yet to find it in NZ so if any of the Kiwi’s out there know where I can buy it, I would be very grateful.

You know I have never thought of good old bitter lemon since I left England. A lovely thing it was. I might be wrong but I don’t think it is available here. You will have to buy Tonic water for the quinine :).

Bitter lemon was certainly available in Wellington when I lived there a few years ago. I remember buying it.

In Chile, I could get Bliz.

It isn’t worth the trip if that’s all you’re going to Chile for however.

Oh, wow. I just had one of those with dinner. Trader Joe’s carries them in the States. Quite yummy. I also love Schweppe’s Bitter Lemon. I can find it around here, but I can’t find their Bitter Orange. Is it still being made?

I can’t believe no one’s mentioned Kickapoo ‘Joy Juice’ I bought some in Singapore, purely due to it’s name. It’s still sitting at home, i haven’t tried it yet. I’ve been told that it’s a Lemon and Lime concoction with lots of tartrazine.

I had some L&P recently from a New Zealand Natural store in Darwin. Unfortunately it didn’t seem to taste the same as it did back home. I thought it was a bit flat or something.

Another one for Guaraná ! Guaraná Antartica is very good… much more healthy than Coke too.

Having lived away from Brazil for many years means I missed Guarana too much and I prefer it above all other soda.
