If you are dealing with the dregs of society on a daily basis for any extended period of time, surely unless you are an extraordinary person, you are going to get jaded at some point, to say the least? It seems to me that most cops are that used to dealing with scum, they treat everyone as potential scum unless they have good reason to believe differently. Perhaps after every 5 years on the streets they should have to serve a year in a more relaxed environment, to get them back in touch with their humanity? ---

I have to ask you though – how does one insert something like a nightstick into anyone’s rectum, without using lube and going slow – and not causing trauma? Remember, there’s on a public train platform here, not weekending romantically at a B&B in New Hampshire. And, remember, you’re talking to a gay man here. 😛 ---
