Those are definitely breasts. Highly stylized breasts, of course, but scarves and hair don’t have nipples at the end of them.

If that is boobies the upper one looks a lot like Droopy dog

Not making a judgement. The actual Droopy dog from cartoons.

I’m guessing she must wear a 38 XL (extra long) bra.

I saw it as she’s about to stomp on his foot with her high heels. Which is a thing I taught women to do many years ago, when I taught self defense in university.

I think that this style of expression is intended to be ambiguous, that we can interpret it as it strikes us, and that it is not necessary to decide what it is “supposed to be.”

I assumed the question was going to be about the green stuff, which i interpreted as a diaphanous skirt. I saw a couple dancing. I agree that she’s pregnant and that your wife is correct.

I don’t think he’s standing on her foot. I think we just see his foot in front of hers. She doesn’t look alarmed or stressed.

The woodcut reminds me of Picasso’s style, where human proportions can get twisted and front and side view can overlap. So yeah, breasts. Her crotch also looks rather like a butt.

Ach. As one of the few who voted that Mops was right - I had clicked wrong.

Breasts. It’s abstract not realism.

I _definitely_ have a dirty mind. But I looked at the image and immediately thought: scarf. With tassles (not nipples) on the ends.

That was my first impression. Why is the female figure so absurdly fragmented?

I see a rather stylised image of a couple doing what may be a somewhat ritual dance.

Though I’m not quite sure what the green bits mean?

Good art though.

I take the green bits as showing motion. Perhaps the movement of her skirt.

Maybe the artist had problems with women, himself.

So many variables. We cannot know the Artists intent unless it’s spoken.

If he had an intent. It may be pure emotion that guided him.

It’s fruitless to search for hidden meaning in abstract art. You’re meant to feel your own feelings about it.

Or not.

Maybe.

IDK. Art can be like that.

Looks like the artist was influenced by Dali.
